1. Overview
This Privacy Policy governs the bikecar.pk Android application and website, operated by Technology Digital Systems. We collect and process only the minimal necessary data required to operate an automotive marketplace for buying and selling cars and bikes in Pakistan.
2. Android Permissions & Data Usage
📍 Approximate Location (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION)
Purpose: Used solely to calculate approximate distance (in km) to nearby vehicle listings and to autofill your city/area when posting an ad.
We do not request precise GPS (`ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION`), do not track background location, and never share location data with advertisers.
🎙️ Microphone & Audio (RECORD_AUDIO)
Purpose: Used strictly on-demand if a seller chooses to record an optional 30-second voiceover narration for their vehicle reel.
Recording only occurs while you press the record button. No background listening or passive audio capture is performed.
📸 Camera & Photos (CAMERA, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES)
Purpose: Used to photograph or upload exterior, interior, engine bay photos, and inspection documents for vehicle listings.
Only the specific images you select for your ad are accessed and uploaded to our secure Cloudflare R2 storage.
📱 Phone Number
Purpose: Required for sellers when publishing an ad so interested buyers can contact them directly via phone call or WhatsApp. Phone numbers are never sold or used for marketing spam.
3. Google Single Sign-On (SSO)
When you sign in using Google SSO, we receive your email address, display name, and avatar image solely to create and authenticate your account. Our handling of Google user data adheres strictly to the Google API Services User Data Policy. We never share Google user data with data brokers or ad networks.
4. Account & Personal Data Deletion
Users can delete their activity data (searches, favorites, chats, and listings) directly inside the app under Settings → Manage & Delete My Data, or request permanent account deletion by emailing technologydigitalsystems@gmail.com from their registered email address.
